After a wayward youth, Christine graduated from UCSB with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Realizing the limited vocational opportunities that an in depth reading of Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason would provide, she turned to architecture and there found a profession rich with truth, beauty and humanity that continues to challenge and engage her today.

Christine received her architectural license in 2003 while working for Brian Cearnal for the first time. She established her own firm in 2004, focusing on affordable housing projects in Southern California. After over ten years with her own firm she returned to Santa Barbara and to The Cearnal Collective, thrilled for the opportunity to rejoin this family and this community.

Christine has been active in her communities having served on the Architectural Board of Review when in Santa Barbara and having served on her Neighborhood Council when in Los Angeles, establishing their first Planning and Land Use Review Board while there.

When not working, Christine keeps busy crossing bridges when she comes to them, letting sleeping dogs lie and always, always counting her lucky stars.
